National Discussion – Chinese Imports of Kitchen Cabinets

A meeting of the wood manufacturing industry is taking place July 16, 2024 at 1pm (ET) via Zoom.

Members are invited to attend this important information session that includes discussion on options CKCA could consider in taking action to address the increasing amount of Chinese kitchen cabinets  entering Canada at substantially reduced prices that is taking business away from the Canadian industry.

We have listened to our members who are being impacted by this increase in imports.

The economy is facing many challenges with lower demand, interest rates, and growth. Some have cut their expenses and are now looking for their new balance of growth and profitability. But how does this affect the kitchen cabinet sector? MNP would like to share an economic update tailored to the Wood Working sector in Canada and explain how the macro-economic news relates to this sector.
