Woodworking East

Major woodworking industry event moving to Saint-Hyacinthe, Quebec in 2018

Press Release from Master Promotions Ltd.

For Immediate Release

Issued: August 21, 2017

Saint-Hyacinthe, QC – Organizers of Canada’s only bilingual show for the cabinet and furniture industry are pleased to announce the show will be moving to a brand new location for its 2018 edition. Canada Woodworking East (Bois ouvré de l’est du Canada) will be held at the BMO Centre at Espace Saint-Hyacinthe in Saint-Hyacinthe, QC, October 24th and 25th, 2018.

2018 marks the third edition for this biennial woodworking industry event, and the move to Espace Saint-Hyacinthe is an exciting change for everyone involved. This modern venue features 60,000 square feet of dedicated exhibit space as well as lots of free parking. In addition to being centrally located and easy to access, this facility will be familiar to veterans of the woodworking industry.

The change in location was born out of extensive polling and many conversations with exhibitors, visitors and industry leaders. “After taking the time to listen and understand the feedback we received from both exhibitors and visitors, it became obvious that Canada Woodworking East needed to move into a newer and more convenient location,” said Show Manager Mike Neeb. “Our main focus is ensuring that the show remains relevant and impactful as a long-term leader for all facets of the industry.”

The first two editions of the trade show were successful and well attended, drawing praise from exhibitors and visitors alike. Having previously been co-located with InterSaw, the international sawmilling expo, another change for the 2018 edition of the event is that the entire venue will be dedicated to Canada Woodworking East exhibitors. The show will once again include a cutting-edge educational program – featuring a diverse seminar series presented by industry experts – as part of its offerings. The seminars will take place on location and will be free of charge to all show visitors.

As Canada’s furniture-producing powerhouse, Quebec is the ideal location to host Canada Woodworking East. This major industry event attracts members of the secondary woodworking industry from across Quebec and Eastern Canada, including cabinet manufacturers, furniture manufacturers, architectural woodworkers, millworkers, custom wood product manufacturers and more. The show offers an ideal opportunity for the industry to connect with manufacturers and distributors of machinery, hardware and accessories.
